Editor's Take

The "How To Get There" transport special (p.52-66) is genuinely original — 15 pages covering helicopter transfers (2,500 each way), super-submarines (from 2.5 million) and Porsche track tuition in a way that most magazines wouldn't have the nerve to attempt. The F1 Academy feature (p.68) is timely and gives the issue a real sports-news hook. But the Social Power Index (p.100) runs 15 pages of subjective ranking that feels like filler between the transport special and the back-of-book. The Bystander section at 16 pages (p.30-44) is tighter than usual, which is welcome. Best for F1 fans and luxury-transport enthusiasts; the super-submarine feature alone is worth the cover price.

Strengths
• "How To Get There" transport special covers helicopters, super-submarines and supercars with specific pricing
• F1 Academy feature gives the issue a genuine sports-news hook
• Bystander section is tighter than usual at 16 pages

Weaknesses
• Social Power Index runs 15 pages of subjective ranking — fills space rather than reports news
• "Sugar intake" watch edit at 1 page is too brief for a dedicated watches page

Verdict: Recommended — The transport special and F1 Academy coverage make this a standout summer issue; the Power Index is skippable.
